The Wizards did not turn the ball over, forced 10 Indiana miscues and led 32-14 after one. The Pacers played a much cleaner second quarter, only turning the ball over twice, and Copeland came alive with seven points. The Wizards still won the period by a point and owned a comfortable 54-35 halftime lead. Hill dropped 12 in the third quarter, and Washingtons lead was down to eight points, 73-65, heading into the fourth. Seraphins jumper made it a 10-point game two minutes into the fourth, but Indiana had one final push. Hill made a pair of free throws, A.J. Price converted a three-point play and Hill dished off to Ian Mahinmi for a layup to force a Wizards timeout.
