Tough Sydney galloper Coolring will lead the advance guard of what Sydney trainer Bjorn Baker hopes will be a big summer in Queensland.Leading jockey Jeff Lloyd has been booked for Coolring who has drawn barrier nine in the Listed Keith Noud Quality at Eagle Farm on Saturday.Coolring had three starts in Queensland during the winter carnival, winning the Gold Coast Prime Ministers Cup, finishing second in the Toowoomba Weetwood and running 12th in the Doomben BRC Sprint at his last start before a spell. The gelding has had two starts in Sydney since his return and was an encouraging fourth to Kaepernick at Randwick two weeks ago.Baker has been in New Zealand at the breeze-up sales but has been in constant contact with his racing manager Jack Bruce.Bjorn is very keen to have a big Queensland summer. Coolring will be the first of what we hope is a fairly big team up there. We will be based at the Gold Coast, Bruce said.Coolrings last run was solid and Jeff knows him from last time he was in Brisbane. If he races well on Saturday there are some nice feature races for him in Brisbane so he might stay there. The stable will also have Brooklyn Storm, an unlucky second at Doomben last week, in the National Jockeys Trust (1200m) Bruce expects him to race well.Bruce said several of the stables better young horses would also be heading to Brisbane.Winning Rupert is headed there and will start on December 3. He is after the bonus for the three-year-old triple crown in Brisbane, Bruce said.Champagne Cuddles who won a two-year-old race in Sydney recently is also heading north.Winning Rupert is unbeaten in two starts in Queensland including the Group Two Champagne Stakes at Doomben.Bruce said Baker liked running his horses in Queensland where he has had plenty of success including the 2014 Magic Millions Classic with Unencumbered. It is a lot easier these days to travel up to Brisbane and we do it a bit now, he said. Clay Buchholz Jersey . Brett Kulak and Jackson Houck of the Vancouver Giants were each charged with assault causing bodily harm on Aug. 18, according to the B.C. court services. Chase Utley Jersey . McPhee said that Ovechkins father Mikhail is in stable condition after having the surgery this week and is no longer in intensive care. "Weve told him to stay as long as necessary with your dad," he said. Ovechkin and his Russian national team were eliminated from the mens hockey tournament in Sochi on Wednesday with a 3-1 quarter-final loss to Finland. http://www.philliesrookiestore.com/Phillies-Jim-Thome-Kids-Jersey/ .J. -- Marty Brodeur beat the Pittsburgh Penguins yet again. Mike Schmidt Jersey . The 18th player to shoot 60 on the tour, Jamieson settled for par on the final hole when his 15-foot birdie chip grazed the edge of the hole and stayed out. After opening with rounds of 66 and 73 to make the cut by a stroke, he had 11 birdies in the bogey-free round. Rhys Hoskins Jersey . Booth picked up 65 caps after making her national team debut in 2002 at the age of 17. She most recently played for Sky Blue FC of the National Womens Soccer League. "It just felt like it was my time to move on," she said in a phone interview from her hometown of Burlington, Ont. Left-arm spinner Keshav Maharaj was picked ahead of fast bowler Morne Morkel because Morkel is not yet fully match-fit following a back injury that has sidelined him for the last two months and also because South Africa expect the WACA pitch to break up.Keshav has done quite well domestically and with Morne Morkel coming back from injury, he is not100% fit, South Africa batsman Temba Bavuma, who scored a half-century on the first day of the Perth Test, said. Also considering the wicket might break down, it would be good to have a spinner.Bavuma, who spent more time than any of his team-mates bar Quinton de Kock in the middle, said that cracks may only show up much later in the game though. When I was batting, I didnt see any substantial breaking down of the wicket, he said, in reference to South Africas hopes of making amends for being dismissed for 242. The wicket still looks true. The ball is starting to skid on, which is a good sign.Whats happened has happened. We cant do anything to change it. Its quite obvious they have the upper hand but there will be an opportunity to knuckle down in the second innings. Before they get there, South Africa will have to bowl Australia out for what Bavuma hoped would be as low a total as possible, without Morkell, whose absence on a bouncy surface was glaring.ddddddddddddAt the toss, du Plessis explained that though he had declared Morkel fit and in contention, pre-match, there were concerns about his ability to sustain a heavy workload.Morne has been bowling well. Hes actually coming off an injury, so hes probably about 90-95% ready. Bowling long spells for him is still a little bit of a concern, du Plessis said. We just want to give him a couple of days to make sure that back gets fully fit. But I think a spinner in these conditions will be perfect.Since making his comeback, Morkel played in only one first-class match, for the Titans against the Warriors. He bowled 26 overs in the first innings and took 3 for 54. But he bowled only four overs in a short second innings and was seen doing fitness drills every day in the lead-up to this match.South Africa also have transformation targets to consider. With a requirement of a minimum average of six players of colour, of which at least two must be black African, over the course of a season, Morkels inclusion could put their numbers out. They met the requirement in the Perth Test. ' ' '
