BUDAPEST, Hungary -- Mercedes is optimistic it will not have to fit a new gearbox to Nico Rosbergs car this weekend following the problems he faced in the closing stages of the British Grand Prix.Rosberg lost seventh gear at Silverstone but was able to manage the problem with assistance from the team, which in turn resulted in a 10-second penalty for breaching pit-to-car radio rules. There were concerns the gearbox problem would require a new one to be fitted this weekend, resulting in a 5-place grid penalty for Sundays race.However, Mercedes is confident it can rectify the issue without breaching the rules, which require a gearbox to last six races.
