The 29-year-old with 371 games of NHL experience was passed on Winnipegs depth chart by younger goalies Connor Hellebuyck and Michael Hutchinson. The Islanders brought back Parenteau in the hopes he could rekindle some magic with John Tavares. Adam Taggart is unlikely to play against Wellington on Sunday as Perth take a cautious approach with their sore striker.Taggart made a blistering return to the A-League last weekend, scoring a first-half brace against Central Coast before being subbed off on the hour to manage his fitness. But the 23-year-old Socceroo pulled up with a sore calf this week and did not train on Friday with the team.Coach Kenny Lowe said something very minor showed up in scans, and the priority was to ensure it didnt escalate.Taggart has endured a bad run with injuries, having spent most of his stint with English Championship side Fulham and on loan to Scottish outfit Dundee United dealing with a string of issues.Given Melbourne City await the Glory next weekend, Lowe appeared to be leaning towards keeping his injury-prone target man fresh.TTags came out on fire and did brilliant, but maybe hes pushing himself a little bit too much, Lowe said.ddddddddddddIm glad he did the 60 minutes and not the 90. Otherwise, we might have been looking at something different. What hes got is minor, but its there and weve got to be conscious of that with his history.Should Taggart sit the Phoenix match out, Lowe might revert from his two-pronged attack and leave Andy Keogh as the Glorys sole striker.Defender Shane Lowry (hip) is getting closer to a return, completing a portion of training before continuing his rehab. But hell have to wait until the next meeting to line up against younger brother Ryan Lowry, who signed last month with the Phoenix.
