Cooper-USA TODAY SportsHot on the heels of the Minnesota Vikings announcing that they would not be picking up the option on safety Andrew Sendejo, they’re making another move that will provide some cap relief and begin what will be another revamp of the offensive line.Close, Personal Friend of The Daily Norseman Tom Pelissero鈩?is reporting that the Vikings are set to release guard Mike Remmers, a move that many of us have been anticipating for some time.Remmers was a part of the Vikings’ last attempt at a revamp of the offensive line, as he signed a five-year deal with the team before the start of the 2017 season. While he was decent enough at right tackle in his first season with the team Brett Favre Jersey , the Vikings moved him to right guard in 2018, where he was. . .not great. With Brian O’Nell currently in the mix to start at right tackle for (hopefully) the long-term and Remmers not being able to make the transition to guard successfully, his time with the Vikings is now up.The Vikings will have to eat approximately $1.8 million of dead money against the salary cap with Remmers’ release, but it will net them $4.55 million in cap space. We’ll keep bringing you updates on the moves that the Vikings are making with the “legal tampering” period now, officially Adam Thielen Jersey , underway before free agency starts on Wednesday. After looking a little bit, it turns out that he led the Mountain West Conference in rushing in 2018, rushing for 1,417 yards on 302 carries (4.7 yards/carry) and finding the end zone a whopping 17 times. He also caught 27 passes for 173 yards with the Broncos last season.Mattison appears to be slated to take over Latavius Murray’s role in the Vikings’ backfield Harrison Smith Jersey , as a goal line/power option to complement the speed and shiftiness of Dalvin Cook. If he can prove to be as reliable as Murray in the event that Cook misses time with injuries again, he could have a big role in the offense early on. Even as a backup, he might be able to carve out a niche fairly quickly. So, let us know what you think of the Vikings’ selection of Alexander Mattison in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft, folks!
