The British & Irish Lions have confirmed Rob Howley, Andy Farrell and Steve Borthwick will take up roles under Warren Gatland in his backroom staff for the 2017 tour of New Zealand.?Gatland is weighing up bringing in additional attacking specialist, who will be announced at a later date, but the trio form the foundations of his management team for next years series against the All Blacks.?Howley, currently Wales interim coach with Gatland on a sabbatical due to the Lions, will take charge of the attack while Ireland coach Farrell looks after the defence. Englands Borthwick travels as forwards coach.?Both Howley -- who played on the 1997 and 2001 tours -- and Farrell worked under Gatland on the victorious 2013 series in Australia while Borthwick is brought in after impressing under Eddie Jones with England.?I am excited about this coaching team, Gatland said.
