With the twin-bill sweep, the Goldeyes are now 6-0 on the season and counting last years 6-0 sweep in the American Association playoffs have won a dozen straight ball games. In Game 2 on Wednesday night, the Goldeyes recorded their second shutout of the season as Capaul worked five complete innings, allowing only four hits. He was picked up by Brendan Lafferty in the sixth and Wes Alsup in the seventh, both relievers pitched hitless and scoreless innings. The Goldeyes scored two in the first and one each in the fourth, fifth and seventh. Red-hot Ryan Scoma drove in the winning run with a two-run double in the first. Leonard Davis went two-for-four with two runs scored and an RBI that came on a leadoff solo home run in the fifth. Josh Mazzola went two-for-four with a run scored. Officially, Scoma was one-for-one with a run scored and two driven in.
