It coincides with the deadline for signing players that count against each team’s total when figuring up compensatory picks. That deadline happens tonight at 9 pm Pacific (midnight ET). After which, all players signed will not count in that total.Several players could be ready to sign with a team or have several teams interested, but those teams are waiting for the deadline to pass. Keep in mind, this only applies to players who are free agents because their previous contract was up. Players who were cut by their previous team do not count toward or against compensatory pick totals — such as former Chiefs safety Eric Berry or former Browns linebacker Jamie Collins — so any of those players aren’t still out there for that reason. Here are the top free agents to watch:Ezekiel Ansah, ED, 29Ndamukong Suh, DI, 32Jay Ajayi, RB, 25Muhammad Wilkerson, DI, 29Andy Levitre Womens Derek Carr Jersey , G, 32Marshawn Lynch, RB, 33Tre Boston, S, 26Morris Claiborne, CB, 29Allen Bailey, DI, 30Michael Johnson, ED, 32Stefen Wisniewski, G, 30Shane Ray Antonio Brown Raiders Jersey , ED, 25Raiders have around $20 million to spend when factoring in the rookie pool.Follow @LeviDamien The arbitrator has spoken, and so has Antonio Brown. It’s just not clear what Brown is saying.“While I disagree with the arbitrator’s decision, I’m working on getting back to full health and looking forward to rejoining my teammates on the field,” Brown said on Instagram regarding the outcome of the grievance filed regarding the league’s refusal to allow him to wear his helmet of choice. “I’m excited about this season appreciate all the concerns about my feet.”The “while I disagree” comment seems to be a precursor to a statement accepting the decision, but he never specifically and expressly does that. Acceptance is implied, but there’s a chance that Brown will explore other options before crying “uncle” on this issue. absence from the Raiders has more to do with his helmet preference than his feet, which reportedly were frozen in a cryotherapy chamber last month. His statement pins the absence squarely on the residual effects of the frostbite.Until he actually returns, it’s fair to wonder whether something more is going on. Brown reportedly has threatened to retire over the helmet situation. And his legal team has leaked to the media that, if Brown suffers an injury wearing a different helmet, Brown will hold the league liable.
